Established within La Ciotat Shipyards, bringing together the leading shipyards in the Mediterranean, YACHTELEC specializes in electricity (high/low current), electronics and electromechanics for yachting. Since 2007, we have been involved in repairs, complete refits and new constructions. Distributor and installer for the biggest brands, we operate mainly in all the ports and shipyards of the northern Mediterranean but also all over the world.
We are recruiting an experienced electrical technician:
You contribute to ensure, from files, plans or electrical diagrams, the assembly, control, powering, testing and maintenance of the electrical installations of ships. You are under the responsibility of your electricity team leader.
Your main tasks:
Take electrical safety measures
Carry out new installations: installation, assembly, and fixing of electrical equipment (cable tray, various electrical equipment, etc.)
Carry out the wiring and the prescribed terminals then the checks (specified or not)
Power up and carry out the prescribed tests to validate the operation of the installations: recording of the electrical values to be measured, drafting of technical test reports (specific test programs)
Ensure the maintenance of electrical installations by participating in fault diagnosis analyzes
Remove faulty electrical components, repair, reinstall and demarcate devices
Required profile:
A graduate of a BTS/DUT or equivalent in electricity, you have at least 5 years’ experience in naval electrical and/or electromechanical maintenance which has enabled you to develop the following technical skills: Blueprint reading and electrical diagrams; Wiring, demarcation, battery work; Control, measurement, testing and integration processes.
You have a level of English allowing you to communicate orally and in writing with different interlocutors or during an intervention with a foreign crewship, travel abroad may be expected within the framework international technical assistance.
French (Bilingual / mother tongue)
In addition, you are endowed with a spirit of adaptation and cooperation which allows you to work in a team and independently. Methodical, you are also rigorous and make it a point of honor to comply with regulations.
The proposed contract:
CDD contract, Remuneration according to profile, restaurant tickets. Start date: March 01, 2023.
